With Red announcing their new line of affordable cameras (The Scarlet) offering varying degrees of resolution and Canon's new  35mm DSLR  still cameras (EOS D5 MARK ll) able to shoot full res High Definition video (1920 x 1080) using a full 35mm frame sensor with a  ISO rating of 100 to 6500 expandable to 25,000, 2009 will prove to be the true year of the digital revolution for film.
